Celebrating the 2nd Anniversary of the Affordable Care Act!
|
|
Friday, March 23 marks the two year anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, the new health reform law that we worked so hard to see passed. Two years later, the same people who opposed the bill are working hard to dismantle its protections for Americans - even as people in Missouri and across the country are starting to feel its benefits.
On Monday, March 26, the U.S. Supreme Court will begin its hearings on whether parts of the Affordable Care Act are constitutional. Whatever the Supreme Court rules, Missouri Health Care for All will continue working with people across the state to advance our Principles of quality, affordable health care for all Missourians.

JOIN THE MOVEMENT -
Missouri Health Care for All is a non-partisan, statewide movement of 131 faith and community organizations and nearly 8,000 Missourians who have endorsed a set of shared Principles. Our Principles affirm, based on faith and moral values, that every Missourian should have access to quality, affordable health care, no matter where they live or how much money they make.
Our movement works to advance our shared Principles by educating members of our endorsing organizations and the public and by taking action on behalf of policies and practices that are consistent with our Principles.
Over the several years, we have actively supported Federal health care reform because, after careful study, we determined that the policies included are consistent with our Principles.
Now that Congress has passed, and President Obama has signed, health reform into law, our work continues. We are working now to:
- Educate Missourians about what is in the laws that passed
- Work with decision makers to ensure that the new health reform laws are implemented well in Missouri
- Protect access to health care and social services for Missourians who need them
- Identify additional opportunities to improve health care access for Missourians
We are guided by a statewide Steering Committee, with local leaders and members throughout the state.
Join Us! We invite you to read our Principles, and if you agree with them, join our movement by endorsing the Principles here. We'll keep you informed about health care issues and give you easy, timely ways to make a difference!
